Establishing a UX practice
As Unitu’s first designer, I established a team-wide UX process aligned with the company’s lean startup model.
I introduced collaborative discovery including experience mapping, proto-personas, and prioritisation workshops. As the team scaled, I began mentoring junior designers and helped formalise the UX function within the company.

Lean discovery
To uncover friction in staff workflows, I facilitated two internal workshops and a validation survey. These sessions helped us map needs, prioritise use cases, and collaboratively generate concepts.
Our structured discovery process ensured product changes addressed the root causes of staff frustration: toxic behaviour in threads, unrealistic expectations, and excess workload.

Working with a junior designer, I translated workshop outputs into prototypes. I led usability testing sessions with academic staff for six high-impact concepts, refining them based on real feedback.
